Tuesday 31 Jan 95 4:30 Mod 52, to discuss classes we have taken and may take. Maybe some brief discussion of projects. Pizza provided. SUCCESS

Tuesday 7th, 12:30, location TBA, to present projects in the works (Misa, SPEW, WEEBLE, hopefully something more graphical,...also to discuss potential projects and try and get people to work together, etc.) Also discuss how to do credit for sysadmin work. SUCCESS

Tuesday 14th, 12:30, ASH lobby (may move from there), to have a discussion on defense funding of computer science/science in general. Guests from UMASS, Hampshrie's Institute for Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, and two Hampshire professors. SUCCESS

Tuesday 21, 12:30, location TBA, to discuss computer science grad schools + other opportunities (going to grad school, say, in neuroscience, witha computer-science background), with Mike Sutherland (long-time Hamphire faculty and really neat guy).

Tuesday twenty-eighth, 12:30, location TBA, to discuss the Hampshire Computer Resources, especially the future of the ASH Lab.

Other Ideas for future:

copyrights, freedom on the net, programmers rights and responsibilities, etc. (guests --who?)
Get some guests who will come talk about what they're doing in Computer Science instead of Grad School.

Computer-Science students are working together this semester to have weekly meetings to discuss issues of computer science in Hampshire and around the world. I'm the MC for February, somebody else will hopefully volunteer for March, April (AARON Culich), etc.
